For over 177 years, our client the Knickerbocker Saloon has offered premium entertainment, starting with the areas first player piano, introduced in 1874 and continuing with a veritable who's who of celebrity performers and guests. Some of the guests included: President Grant, Mark Twain, Al Capone, and even Neil Armstrong (though rumored not much of a drinker)
Over the last nearly 2 centuries, the Knickerbocker has been restored. The original bar was replaced in 1891 to it's current glory. Crafted by Dutch immigrant craftsmen entirely of solid cherry and black walnut, this masterpiece is a truly magnificent part of history. The entertainment room behind the bar was added in the early 1980’s, allowing the Knickerbocker to host nationally touring Jazz and Blues acts including Kenny Neil, Tommy Castro, Coco Montoya and many more. All adding to the wonderful heritage in being Indiana's oldest bar.
The problem was, nobody knew it.
Enter Maximumedia Design. We took the Knickerbocker's quality formula, added some quantified research and massaged the project into shape with a healthy dash of our trademark, outside-the-box ideas. What you see is only a year in the making...
The Knickerbocker Saloon is not only ranked first for "Indiana's oldest bar" but also THIRD for "Oldest Bar"... as in it ranks up there for oldest bar in America. It is for this which we would like to congratulate the Knickerbocker Saloon. It's achievement of becoming our latest "#1" and it's continued pledge of quality are models toward which others should work. Way to go!
Oh, we almost forgot to mention they are also #1 for "Lafayette Indiana bar."
No small achievement, fellas!
