The Maximumedia Backup Plan
Working for a number of clients in many different media, we tend to accumulate a large number of files. These files include not only design files, but the images we have edited, their source documents, copy and many other odds and ends that all eventually are compiled into a final product. Losing these files after the final document has been designed would seem to be okay most of the time if your finished file doesn't include links to outside files, but what about after the document has been designed, approved and shipped?What do you do when your computer crashes? Your emails have been deleted? Your office blows up?! And all of the effort you put into those finalized designs is dashed against the pavement?
That is where we have stepped in and created a very simple daily backup plan for Mac that allows you to do your work without wading through a complex backup strategy or taking the time to sort files for upload, log in to your server and any other numerous tasks involved in a backup formula. What is more, our backup plan includes getting your files to an online storage facility; namely Dropbox, a free online backup solution.
